We’ve made it to $460 raised and crossing the $450 mark means another funny beard picture is here! We’re closing in on the halfway mark and there’s certainly no time to rest yet.Help this pirate continue his journey and fill the shelves of Feeding America for crewmates in need.As a reminder, this year I'm raising funds for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and releasing a new funny beard photo every $150 until the $1,600 goal is met. These funds will help provide over 6,000 meals for people facing food insecurity across 35 counties in Wisconsin. If you're interested in donating, click the link to my GoFundMe in the comments and help this pirate fill the treasure chest of a great organization that helps community members in need!Special thanks to Aaron Sherkow for photography, Erik Teague for costume design, Andrew Strong for production assistance, and Karen Schwoerer for beard & makeup.

I was able to get educated about NARCAN through Detroit Zoological Society as a part time seasonal Special Events Associate. Over one million guests come through the gates of the Zoo with 145 acres of land, it is important to help to save someone's life.We were also offered a CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed course earlier this year along with active shooter training all free of charge through the Zoo.This is an example of putting your employees and guests first. Having this training is educational and seems like a given with large volumes of people coming through daily. When you discuss things like this and share them it is also a great way to give life to your #employerbrand and can help engage donors to see how their donations are at work. How are you helping your employees? Are you putting them first? Are you truly transparent?#fundraising #recruitmentmarketing #donors

We know that reaching out for donations is no walk in the park… here are our Top Tips for getting suppawt and having fun while fundraising!1.Get the ball rolling by donating to yourself – get tails wagging and show others how much you believe in what you’re doing. 2.Bring out the big barks – tell your friends, family and workmates about your challenge. Share it on social media, send an email, or bark it from the rooftops!3.Share the puppy love – share a link to your fundraising page, explain what you’re doing, and suggest how their donation will help. For example, $55 will pay for a rainbow cane to help children with low vision or blindness get around safely. It costs over $50,000 to breed, raise and train a Guide Dog, so every dollar you raise makes a difference.Find more tips, support and downloads at www.PAWGUST.com.au#GuideDogs #PAWGUST #WalkingChallenge #TeamBuilding #WorkplaceGiving #FundraisingIdeas

We've been working hard to support young people who have recently moved into new accommodations with little to no furniture. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we've been able to provide them with essential items like Sofa's . Our sofa supply is running low, and we want to make sure young people have a comfortable place to relax and unwind in their new homes. So, we're reaching out to our amazing community once again! If you have a used sofa that you'd be willing to donate, or if you know someone who does, please consider Bardsley Youth Project. Your support will make a huge difference in improving the lives of young individuals who are just starting out on their own.If you think you can help send us a Facebook message. We are legally required to ensure all sofas we give out have their fire labels intact. For each sofa we requested a photo showing the fire labels and the general condition of the sofa before collection. We ask that sofas have no major rips or tears. We understand that this may add an extra step to the donation process, but please know that your efforts are helping us create comfortable homes for those who need it most. “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” -Martin Luther King Jr. #MLKDayThe best way to celebrate the legacy of #MLK is to take action and make a difference. 👇💜🤝Volunteer - whether at an animal shelter, a food kitchen for the homeless, or for one of your local nonprofits, volunteering makes a difference in your community. 💜🤝 Donations- making any type of donation like money, clothes, food, blankets, supplies, or even donating your time is a good way to give back to your community. 💜🤝 Service Projects- can look like cleaning a park, tutoring youth, planting trees, helping others register to vote, or locating books to give to local libraries or schools.

GIVE HAPPY so...  neighborhoods can plant their own community gardens.   This week’s Cause Week is Community Improvement. Community improvement supports a wide variety of critical services. It can be as simple as making sure trees and shrubs are trimmed so that drivers can see clearly when making a turn. It can be as impactful as rebuilding businesses and homes after a devasting natural disaster. And it can be as powerful as making sure those who find themselves without means can benefit from fruiting trees or eatable landscapes cultivated in their community gardens.    There are many CFC charities who provide the wide variety of services that improve our communities. Likewise, there are many ways to help. Pledge a monetary donation or aid with your personal skills by volunteering to help your favorite charity that supports your community.   Today is the day for you to get happy when you GIVE HAPPY at GiveCFC.org.
