Location is great walking distance from boardwalk and the room was clean and nice could be better cuse looks kinda old the carpet but I have a great time here

We were attending an event at the Tropicana...wasn't willing to pay those prices. Picked this location since it was 'cheap' and across the street (thank goodness, since there was a blizzard that weekend!). Instead of the $800+ at the tropicana (when we had a conference/seminars most of the day for 3 days), we paid $160. Bed was comfortable, room was clean (smelled like it had been recently painted). Unfortunately we had no microwave, fridge had not been plugged in for a while (so it was musty and warm). May have given it 5stars if those were good. check in seemed annoyed (but, it was 330 am, we did call to give a head's up). The poor dude who was in charge of shoveling 3 the stairs, walkways, and at least the 3 of us in that parking lot! That was a TON of snow (It was up past the bumper of my Prius). They need a contract with a plow to help get the many parking lots clear. Overall, it was worth it for us, and will probably stay there next time the event is held.

Dirty, roaches in room, no microwave phone,or chairs. Dirty carpet. Toilet gushed water when flushed. Warm refrigerator. Zero stars oh and human feces in the rear parking lot. 15 dollars a day for parking! Don't waste your money. We really felt unsafe. The pictures on the website are false. Beware

We gathered reviews from Google and Tripadvisor, and summarized helpful tips as well as commonly mentioned things others might find useful.

  1. Consider bringing your own microwave if needed as not all rooms have them
  2. Check with the front desk for any maintenance concerns upon check-in
  3. Utilize the lobby microwave if necessary as an alternative to in-room facilities
  4. Enjoy easy access to nearby attractions such as shopping malls and entertainment venues within walking distance

Reviews

Econo Lodge Beach and Boardwalk offers a budget-friendly stay across the street from Tropicana Casino. Guests appreciated the comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly front desk staff. Some mentioned issues like musty refrigerators and lack of microwaves in rooms but noted that there is one available in the lobby. The location is convenient for beach access, with sliding glass doors to patios/balconies in each room. While some reviewers had negative experiences with cleanliness and maintenance issues like broken windows or roaches, others found it worth the price for its proximity to attractions.

Opted for a night in AC to celebrate a birthday and cap it off with a night in a hot tub. That part of the room was fine and dandy, but when I flicked a roach off the nightstand, I knew there was going to be an issue. I snapped a pic of one on top of the safe before it fled, but the final nail in the coffin was when I moved my pillow and saw a large roach on the bed. We packed up and couldn't leave fast enough. The night attendant claimed he couldn't authorize a refund and we'd have to call back, so we'll see how that goes. In the meantime, I'd recommend avoiding this location until they get an exterminator on the payroll.

Room was clean, front desk friendly and easy to book. There are no microwaves in the room, but they do have one in the lobby for guests to use. The refridgerator was better than what you find in most hotel rooms - there was a fridge on bottom with an actual, separate freezer on top. Another plus here was that each room has a sliding glass door to a patio/balcony, and they provide chairs and small tables to be used in these areas if you like.
