(HaleSarver) Crash on Patterson kills man A man was killed and another person injured in a Saturday night car accident on Patterson Boulevard in Dayton. Police are withholding the name of the dead man until relatives can be notfied.

William Brandenburg, 25, of St. Charles, a passenger in the car, was listed in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital. Dayton police said the man was driving south on Patterson Boulevard when he crossed a median. He collided with a Pontiac Grand Am that was heading east on Stout Street. Police said four people were in the Pontiac.

One complained of neck injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was treated and released. Dayton officer hurt in Trotwood chase A Dayton police officer was injured early Saturday morning when he chased a crime suspect into Trotwood. Patrolman Johnathan Sieter was treated for leg injuries and released from Miami Valley Hospital. Sieter pursued a pickup truck down Main Street in Trotwood. The truck's driver turned onto Oak Street and jumped out.

The truck, which remained in gear, pinned Sieter's leg to the door of his cruiser, according to Trotwood police. Police are still looking for a suspect. Volunteer Fire Department. OHMER, Eugene age 80, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 1992 at the VA Medical Center. Eugene was a veteran of WWII served with the U.S. Army Air Force in the China-Burma-India area. He was a member of the Pioneer Family, grandson of Augustus Ohmer, one of the 5 Ohmer brothers who, with their parents, came to the United States from Lorraine, France in 1832 later settled in Dayton, OHin 1837.

Gene was a member of the Dayton Sertoma Club. Prior to his retirement, he was a purchasing agent of Malone Camera Stores. In his youth, he had photography as a hobby won many awards for his work. Member of Conservancy Lodge AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Victory Chapter Royal Arch Masons; Silver Trowel Council Royal Select Masters; Reed Commandery Knights Templar; Seniors Antioch Shrine Temple, Mound Shrine Club; Royal Order of Jesters, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Knights Mason of Ireland; High Twelve Clubs and Past State Secretary of High Twelve Clubs of Ohio; Past Sgt. at Arms of High Twelve Clubs International; Past President of High Twelve Club Life Member of Sojourners; recipient of Youk Rite Mariner's award; Life Member Retired Officer's Association and Air Force Association; Member National Aviation Hall of Fame and U.S.

Air Force Museum; Member Military Order of World Wars; Member Milton Athletic Club; AMVETS and The American Legion; Member U.S. Horse Cavalry Association. Survived by 3 daughters sons-in-law, Pat Louis Olt, Sandra Ken Skeels; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and speical friend Roberta Fife. SMOAK, Jean age 62, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 1992 at Hospice of Dayton. A native of Cythiana, KY. and da Dayton resident for many years. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Adams and mother, Martha Shead. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Brathwaite; son, Robert K. Smoak; daughter-in-law, Patricia E. Smoak; (2) loving grandchildren, Rashaud Smoak and Crystal Brathwaite; father, Bert Russ; a devoted sister, Phyllis Brown; brother-in-law, Thomas Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. age 72 of Dayton, lovingly known to family and friends as Boney, died Thursday, September 3, 1992. Orville was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II, a member of the V.F.W. Post and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is preceded in death by two sons Hugh Robert and Orville Lee a grandson Shawn Ray; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lura Glassburn White; 2 daughters, Vickie Marie Norris and her husband Denny of Arcanum, Lurlonna Lou Wasmuth and her husband Mark of Dayton; wife of late son Butch, Kathy White Wilson of Dayton; grandchildren, Vickie Lynn and husband Ronald Wasmuth, Richard White and wife Shellie, Nancy Renee, Joshua, Mitchell. Nicole, Jeremy; greatgrandchildren, Shawn, Shane, Justin, Ronni Lynn, Heather, and Ryan; a brother, Ray F. White of Dayton; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M.

WOERL, Martin, age 100, of Beavercreek, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1992 in Dayton. Mr. Woerl retired from The N.C.R. Corp.
