Lindbergh's Son Weds Co-Ed At Norfhfield CHICAGO marriage last Saturday of Jon Morrow Lindbergh, adventurer son of the famed "Lone Eagle" of the 1920s, Charles A. Lindbergh, and ft Northwestern University co-ed, was disclosed Thursday. The bride Is the former Miss Barbara Robbins, at one time a classmate of young Lindbergh at Stanford University, £alb Alto, Calif. Mrs. Lindbergh Is 21, the same age as Jon, who IS the eldest of the five living Lindbergh children.
They met at Stanford four years ago. She plans to finish her senior year at Stanford, The couple's honeymoon plans were not disclosed. The marriage was disclosed by the return of the license to the Cook County clerk for recording and confirmed by Mrs. Walter Miller, aunt of the bride, the wedding ceremony was performed In Mrs. Miller's home in suburban Northfield.
Attend Wedding Lindbergh's parents and their four younger children came here for the ceremony from their home in Darien, Conft. The bride's father, James P. Robbins, a mining engineer, and her sister and brother also attended the wedding ceremony. It was performed In the Congregatlonalist faith by the Rev. Chicago Divorcee, Off-Duty Policeman Found Shot In Head CHICAGO Iff) A 25-year-old mother of two children, divorced last week, and an off-duty policeman were found shot and killed In an areaway near her Southwest Side apartment early today. Police found the bodies of Mrs. Virginia Gill, 25, and policeman William H. Walters, 38, near a fence with bullet holes in their heads.
A .38 caliber snub-nosed revolver with five expended shells was found underneath the bodies. Police Lt. John Mulloy said that Walters, who was single, halted Mrs. Gill as she returned home with Gerald P. Surprenant, 29.
Mulloy said Surprenant believed the man was a bandit and he grappled with him. He said Walters, pointing a gun at him, ordered him to "beat it," grabbed Mrs. Gill and forced her into the areaway. Surprenant told Mulloy as he started to drive away he heard one shot. He notified police who found the bodies near Mrs.
Gill's basem*nt apartment at 2548 West 57th St. Mulloy said they found Walter's police service revolver in his hip Holster fully loaded. He had been a policemen eight years. Mulloy said Mrs. Gill's relatives said she had known Walters four years and at one time had dated him.
However, they said when she tried to end their relationship Walters threatened her. Mrs. Gill's children are Stephen, 2, and Paul, 9 months. Iowa-Illinois Electric Ask Case Decision CHICAGO UP) Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric wants the Illinois Commerce Commission to expedite the firm's application for increased gas rates. In a plea to the commission Thursday, the company asked that the record on the case be closed and a final order entered. The commission took the motion under advisem*nt. Iowa-Illinois serves consumers in Rock Island, Moline, East Moline and Davenport, Iowa. It asked for increased rates which would bring in an additional $316,000 in annual revenue.
